Alpine Son aka Dylan Shearsby, began song writing and drumming with several punk bands at the age of 15, after years of training as a classical musician. He picked up a pair of turntables in 2001, and became a DJ with a weekly residency. When he turned his attention to production, it was a natural transition.
Working under the guise of Alpine Son, Dylan white labeled a release featuring the tracks Possibility and Images and Everything. Through the success of this release, he quickly built an artist profile on Melbourne radio’s, Street FM.
In 2004 Dylan, brother DJ Beloki and DJ Walter Juan ran a monthly house and breaks night called ‘Arcane’ at Tilt. Touring DJ’s and special guest DJ’s featured throughout the year.
Returning to the studio, Dylan put DJ’ing aside to work solidly on a full-length album. Drawing on chilled-out influences, Green Breathing Rhythm brings together house, trip-hop and dub styles and featured the voices of four unique vocalists.
