Canadian born, Pete Dowan began writing songs in his hometown of Northern Ontario at age 16. He is now based in the Southern Ontario community of St. Catharines, just a conversation away from Niagara Falls.
Pete played, wrote and sang rock music in several Canadian bands, clocking up a number of releases, as well as co-writing for other Canadian recording artists.
Suffering a medical disability, Pete was sadly unable to continue as a performer but he recently overcome this setback and returned to the scene as a solo writer and experienced co-writer. Jan Blumentrath and Pete have produced some great results with their co-writing efforts.
Pete’s forte is classic American rock with soaring harmonies and timeless guitar hooks. Equally at home with pop, country, kids songs and ballads, Pete’s expansive back catalogue includes in excess of 650 songs.
