Tony Spencer

Tony Spencer set in motion his musical aspirations at the age of 14 when he formed the original band called Prestige Fixx. Their debut mini album Emotionally Tired helped them win a national radio competition and battle of the bands, Prestige Fixx became part of the national music scene supporting large Australian acts such as The Angels, Boom Crash Opera, and Noiseworks among many other successes.

The nineties was a propitious time for Tony to tour Australia as the lead singer of ‘The Cure’ concept band, which for two years was the most viewed concept show in the country.

Tony continued to write and record, eventually settling on a solo career. In early 2007 Tony released his solo debut, Loverspin which reflected his past musical tastes. The album featured the perfect driving escapism song Wide Open Road.

Tony’s second album Here I Am delves further into his timeless influences. The stand out track, Lust delivers a clever mix of sounds from different eras combining hip-hop, blues and rock. Love Fades is another highlight with a very wide audience appeal.
